Backups/Snapshots

Backups and Snapshots are copies of a server's disk. They can be used to recover a certain state of the server's disk that was captured in the Backup or Snapshot. You can do this by using one of two options. You can rebuild the server using a Backup/Snapshot, but you will lose any data that is not saved on the Backup/Snapshot. Or you can use the Backup/Snapshot to create a new server - a duplicate. You can also create duplicates for servers that require the same settings. Simply create one server, set it up, and create your Snapshot. Next, you can use this Snapshot to duplicate this server once or several times.

Backups are copies of a server's disk that are created automatically on a daily basis. Each server has a total of seven Backup slots. You can therefore have up to seven Backups at the same time. Once this limit is reached, the oldest Backup will automatically be deleted as soon as a new Backup is created.

A Snapshot is a copy of a server's disk that is created manually. Snapshots can be used to capture the current state of the server's disk, and they are saved until you decide to delete them. Snapshots are never deleted or updated automatically.
