⚠️ DNS is now available in Hetzner Console (see this FAQ). It is no longer possible to create new zones in the old DNS Console. We recommend that all customers migrate their existing zones to Hetzner Console by the end of this year (see migration guide).
Adding an A record
- Select a zone to which you want to add records.
- Click on the Records button in the top navigation.
- Choose the type A record in the dropdown menu.
- Enter the host (use @for root) — the subdomain you want to create the record for, including the domain name.
- Choose IPv4 Address in the dropdown menu or type the IPv4 address the record will point to.
- Choose TTL — the record's time-to-live.
- Once you are ready, click the Add record button.
- The record should now be created and be visible in the record list below.
Update an A record
You can update the A record directly in the record list by clicking the Name, Value, or TTL field.
Delete an A record
- Click the Delete button for the A record you want to delete.
- Confirm the deletion. Warning: You cannot undo this step!
