This article describes how to cancel products and domains via konsoleH.
konsoleH is the administration interface for web hosting products, managed servers, storage shares, domains, and paid SSL certificates.
Cancellation always takes place directly in the administration interface so that you can control exactly which components of a product are to be terminated or continued.
Accessing konsoleH
- Open https://konsoleh.hetzner.com/
- Log in with your customer number and customer password.
- In the overview, you will find all products sorted by category. Depending on the structure, it may be necessary to expand a product category first.
Select product
Select the product you want to cancel (e.g., web hosting package, managed server, storage share, or domain). On the left side of the menu, you will find the “Contract” section. There you will find the “Cancellation” option. This will take you to the actual cancellation process.
Cancellation process in konsoleH
The cancellation process consists of three separate decision steps:
1. Account cancellation (storage share / hosting account / managed server)
This step concerns the actual hosting account, i.e., the storage space on which your web hosting or storage share is operated. You can choose:

“The account [product name] should remain active.” Select this option if you still need the storage space.
Example: You only want to cancel the domain, but keep the web hosting.

“Cancel the account [product name].” Select this option if you no longer need the storage space. The entire account will then be deleted.
2. Domain cancellation
If the product includes a domain or you have registered a domain through Hetzner, you can decide what to do with this domain.
You can choose between:
- “The domain should remain as a domain registration.” The domain remains active and will continue to be billed regularly.
Select this option if, for example, you want to assign the domain to another hosting account later.

“The domain should be deleted.”
The domain will be completely deleted. You should only select this option if you are sure that you no longer need it. -
“The domain will be transferred to another provider.” The domain will be transferred.
Select this option if you need an auth code or want to continue using the domain outside of Hetzner.
3. Termination date
In the next step, you specify when the termination should take effect:
- “Immediately”
The termination will be executed immediately after confirmation.
- “Cancellation date”
Select this option to specify a date in the future.
Confirm cancellation
Once you have selected all the options, follow the process until completion. Finally, you must confirm the cancellation once again. Once the cancellation has been successfully completed, you will receive a confirmation email. Your customer account in konsoleH will remain active even if products or domains have been canceled.
Notes
- Domains are generally billed for a full year, regardless of when they are canceled.
- An auth code is required to transfer a domain to another provider. This code will only be provided if the corresponding option is selected during the cancellation process.
- Deleted data cannot usually be recovered. Therefore, only cancel if you are sure that you no longer need the data.
