Cancellations of managed products via konsoleH

This article describes how to cancel products and domains via konsoleH.
konsoleH is the administration interface for web hosting products, managed servers, Storage Shares, domains, and paid SSL certificates.

You can do the cancellations yourself directly on your konsoleH account so that you can control exactly which products or services you want to cancel, and which ones you want to keep.

Accessing konsoleH

  1. Open https://konsoleh.hetzner.com/
  2. Log in with your customer number and password.
  3. In the overview, you will find all the products you have on konsoleH sorted by category. Depending on the structure, you may need to expand a product category first.

Select the product you want to cancel

Select the product you want to cancel (like your web hosting package, managed servers, Storage Share, or domain). On the left side of the menu, you will find the “Contract” section. There, you will find the “Cancellation” tab. This will take you to the actual cancellation process.

Cancellation process on konsoleH

The cancellation process has three separate steps:

1. Account cancellation (Storage Share / hosting account / managed server)

This step is for the actual hosting account, meaning the storage space on which your web hosting or Storage Share operates. You can choose:

  • “The account [product name] should remain active.” Select this option if you still need the web hosting/managed server/Storage Share.

    Example: You only want to cancel the domain, but keep the account.

  • “Cancel the account [product name].” Select this option if you no longer need the web hosting/managed server/Storage Share. Our system will delete the entire account.


2. Domain cancellation

If the product includes a domain, or you have registered a domain through Hetzner, you can decide what to do with this domain.

You can choose between:

  • “The domain should remain as a domain registration.” The domain remains active and we will continue invoice you for it on a yearly basis.

Select this option if, for example, you want to transfer the domain to another hosting account or web hosting company later.

  • “The domain should be deleted.”
    Our system will completely delete the domain. You should only select this option if you are sure that you no longer need it.

  • “The domain will be transferred to another provider." You plan to transfer the domain.
    Select this option if you need an auth code or want to continue using the domain outside of Hetzner.


3. Termination date

In the next step, you choose when the cancellation should take effect:

  • “Immediately”

Our system will immediately do the cancellation after you confirm you want it.

  • “Cancellation date”

Select this option to choose a date in the future.


Confirm cancellation

Once you have selected all the options, follow the process until it is complete. At the end, you must confirm the cancellation once again. Once the cancellation is successful, you will receive a confirmation email. Your customer account in konsoleH will remain active even if you delete products or domains.


Notes

  • We bill you for domains for a full year, regardless of when you cancel them.
  • You need n auth code if you want to transfer a domain to another provider. To get the auth code during the cancellation process, you need to choose the option, “The domain will be transferred to another provider".
  • We cannot recover your data once you cancel your konsoleH products. Therefore, only cancel the product if you are sure that you no longer need the data on it.
