Accessing Robot

  1. Open https://robot.hetzner.com/
  2. Log onto your Robot account.
  3. Select the appropriate product category from the menu on the left.

General information about cancellations on Robot

  • After you cancel a Robot product, we cannot recover or restore the data that was on it.
  • We issue invoices on a pro-rata basis. (You pay AFTER you use it.) We will invoice you for the time you have the Robot product up until you cancel it.
  • Our system automatically sends a confirmation email when you successfully cancel a product.

Canceling dedicated servers

  1. Click on “Server” on Robot.
  2. Select the server.
  3. Open the “Cancellation” tab.
  4. Select the cancellation date.
  5. Confirm the cancellation.

Notes - You can usually choose to cancel the server immediately. - Our billing is exact to the hour. You will never pay more than the monthly price. - Additional hardware connected to the server (such as drives) is also automatically cancelled, unless you booked them separately.


Canceling IP addresses & subnets

  1. Click on “Server” on Robot.
  2. Select the correct server.
  3. Open the ‘Cancellation’ tab.
  4. Select the “IP and subnet cancellation” tab.
  5. Confirm the cancellation.

Notes

- Our billing is **based on how long you used the IP or subnet.**

Canceling automated domains (Robot Domains)

  1. On Robot go to “Domains” in the menu.
  2. Select the correct domain.
  3. Go to “Cancellation” and choose the cancellation date.
  4. Confirm the cancellation.

Cancellation periods

  • .de, .com, .net
  • You can cancel these domains at any time.
  • You can cancel these domains immediately.
  • .info, .biz, .eu, .at, .org
  • Cancellation period: 30 days to the end of the month
  • Explanation: 30 days to the end of the month

Notes

- We always bill for domains for a **full year**.
- If you cancel the domain shortly after you register it, you still need to pay for the full year.
- You need to request an **auth code** if you want to transfer the domain to another company.

Canceling rackspot reservations

  1. Log onto Robot and go to “Servers” or ‘Racks’ (depending on the view).
  2. Select the correct reservation.
  3. Go to “Cancellation” and follow the steps there.

Notes

- You can cancel rackspot reservations on a **monthly basis**
- We will bill you for the rackspot reservation on a daily basis up to the date of cancellation.

Canceling software licenses (like Windows, Plesk, cPanel)

  1. Click on “Server” on Robot.
  2. Select the correct server.
  3. Open the “Cancellation” tab.
  4. Select the tab for the correct license, like, ‘Windows’.
  5. Under “Cancellation”, select the earliest possible date.

Notes

- We always bill licenses **for the full calendar months**.
- Cancellations are therefore effective **at the end of the month**.
- You cannot make a cancellations retroactively.

Canceling colocation products

Colocation contracts differ from our other Robot products. You cannot click simply on a button on Robot to do the cancellation.

Instead, you need to write a support request on Robot:

  1. Log onto your Robot account and go to “Support” and then to "Create ticket".
  2. Write a subject like “Cancellation of colocation”.
  3. Provide the following information:
    • Product/contract
    • Rack or height of your unit
    • Which date you want the cancellation to take effect.

Notes

- Our colocation billing is **per day**, not per hour.
- The cancellation period depends on the individual contract.
