Accessing Robot

  1. Open https://robot.hetzner.com/
  2. Log in with your Robot account
  3. Select the appropriate product category from the menu on the left

General information about cancellation in Robot

  • Recovery is usually not possible
  • Invoices are issued on a pro-rata basis up to the cancellation date
  • Cancellation confirmations are sent by email

Cancellation of dedicated servers

  1. Click on “Server” in Robot
  2. Select the server
  3. Open the “Cancellation” tab
  4. Select the cancellation date
  5. Confirm the cancellation

Notes - Cancellation is usually possible immediately - Billing is exact to the day, never exceeding the monthly price cap - Additional hardware (e.g., drives) is automatically canceled unless booked separately


Canceling IP addresses & subnets

  1. Click on “Server” in Robot
  2. Select server
  3. Open the ‘Cancellation’ tab
  4. Select the “IP and subnet cancellation” tab
  5. Confirm cancellation

Notes

- Billing is **based on the period of use**

Cancellation steps for automated domains (Robot Domains)

  1. In Robot → “Domains”
  2. Select domain
  3. Select the desired date under “Cancellation”
  4. Confirm cancellation

Cancellation periods

  • .de, .com, .net
  • Can be canceled at any time
  • Immediate cancellation also possible
  • .info, .biz, .eu, .at, .org
  • Cancellation period: 30 days to the end of the month
  • Explanation: 30 days to the end of the month

Notes

- Domains are always billed for a **full year**
- If canceled shortly after registration, the annual fee remains
- An **auth code** is required for transfers

Canceling Rackspot reservations

  1. Robot → “Servers” or ‘Racks’ (depending on the view)
  2. Select reservation
  3. Perform the process under “Cancellation”

Notes

- Reservations can be **canceled on a monthly basis**
- Billing is calculated on a daily basis up to the date of cancellation

Canceling software licenses (e.g., Windows, Plesk, cPanel)

  1. Click on “Server” in Robot
  2. Select server
  3. Open the “Cancellation” tab
  4. Select the tab for the respective license, e.g., ‘Windows’
  5. Under “Cancellation”, select the earliest possible date

Notes

- Licenses are always billed **for the full calendar month**
- Cancellations are therefore effective **at the end of the month**
- Cancellations cannot be made retroactively

Canceling colocation products

Colocation contracts differ from cloud or server products. Cancellations are not made via a direct button.

This is done via a support request in Robot:

  1. Robot → “Support” → Create ticket
  2. Subject: “Cancellation of colocation”
  3. Provide the following information:
    • Product/contract
    • Rack or height unit
    • Cancellation date

Notes

- Billing is **per day**, not per hour
- The cancellation period depends on the individual contract
