Would you like to move your domain to Hetzner?
Follow these steps:

Order the product you want (Webhosting, Managed Server, Domain registration) online via konsoleH. If you are a new customer, you will create an account for our administration interface, which is called konsoleH. We will send you your account credentials in an email.

Once the product is available, you can set up your domains. To do this, enter
"I want to transfer my existing domain to Hetzner Online GmbH. (Transfer)".
You have two options:
2.1. Enter the Auth-Code directly. The transfer will be initiated immediately. The order will be processed upon receipt. Processing time is one to two business days.
2.2. You do not enter an auth code initially and proceed with the setup. You perform the transfer in step 5. With this procedure, the website remains accessible during the transfer. -
Immediately after this, you can upload your website, create your databases, and create your mailboxes. We also have a process for importing mailboxes using CSV. You can directly access your website at Hetzner via a temporary URL (permalink); there is no need to transfer the domain.

Once you are finished setting everything up, set your domain's TTL (time-to-live) in your domain's DNS settings. Set the TTL to a few minutes (if this is possible with your provider). After approximately 24 hours, enter your new server's IP in the domain's DNS settings. Within a few minutes, anyone who visits your website will be sent directly to us.

Finally, you can transfer the domain itself to Hetzner simply by including the auth-code in an authorized support request via konsoleH. In addition to the domain's auth-code, please also include the following information about the domain holder: the company/organization (if there is one), first name, last name, full postal address, telephone number, email address, and the Admin-C (the administrative contact). For .de, .at, and .eu domains, you only need to include the name of the domain holder. We will process the order when we receive your support request. The processing time is between 1 and 2 workdays.
Please remember to cancel the products with your old provider.
Important notes:

Once we have started the transfer, it may take up to five business days to transfer your domain, except for .de, .at and .eu domains.

For many top-level domains, you can only transfer a domain to another registrar 60 days after you first register it.

If you are transferring a domain to us, we may charge you for the domain again depending on your order. This may happen even if you have already paid for the domain for a year at your old provider/registrar.

Additional costs for transfer may apply depending on the TLD (top-level domain). Additional information might also be required. In both cases we will notify you via email beforehand.
I want to migrate my mailboxes to Hetzner
We offer a process for importing mailboxes via CSV. It also gives you the option of transferring emails from remote IMAP accounts. (You can only do this once during the import). The CSV file should have the following structure: domain;mail address;type;password;copy/forwarding-addresses;remote IMAP server;IMAP username;IMAP password
Here is some important information:
domain: This is the domain that you are creating the mailboxes for. It must already exist on konsoleH as an account or Addon Domain.
mail address: This is the part of the mail address before the "@".
type: Here you can choose between 'MAILBOX' or 'ALIAS', making it either a mailbox or a mailbox alias. (A mailbox alias forwards emails to your main mailbox.)
password: This is the password for the mailbox. If you leave this empty, you can set a password via konsoleH after the import. Please follow our password rules: The password must be between 6 and 128 characters long and must contain the following characters: at least one lowercase letter ("a-z"), at least one capital letter ("A-Z"), and at least one digit or one of the following special characters ("0-9!$%()=?+#-.:~*@[]_).
copy/forwarding-addresses (optional): Here you can enter additional addresses that can receive forwarded copies of incoming emails. (If you enter more than one address, separate each one with a comma.)
(optional) IMAP server: This is the remote IMAP server which is used to synchronize the local IMAP account with the remote IMAP account. IMAP username: This is the remote IMAP username for this mailbox (usually the mail address itself). IMAP password: This is the IMAP password for the remote mailbox.
Important note: If you have a lot to import, we will invoice you for this service. You will see a charge for it on your invoice, which will be € 21.00 (excl. VAT) for each 15 minutes.
Does Hetzner plan to migrate mailboxes to Microsoft?
No, Hetzner does not plan to migrate mailboxes for web hosting and managed servers to Microsoft.
Where are the web hosting and managed servers located?
Web hosting accounts and managed servers are hosted exclusively in our own data centers in Germany.
