What are the differences between the level 1, 4, 9, 19 web hosting plans and the new S, M, L, XL web hosting packages?
New features:
-
Varnish (caching), for Webhosting S
- Benefit from faster loading times on your website.
-
Redis (caching, key-value store), for Webhosting L
- Connect your website to a persistent object cache. This allows you to reduce loading times and improve your SEO ranking.
-
NodeJS (feature for developers), for Webhosting L
- Want to program something yourself? Start a project with Node.js on your web hosting package.
Clear separation between hosting and domain costs
We deliberately decided not to include domains in our new web hosting packages. Why? Because we believe that transparency and fairness are important. With this pricing model, there are no hidden costs. The clear separation of hosting and domains keeps pricing fair and transparent. We want to avoid cross-subsidizing our products and services. So whether you use .de, .com, or .xyz domains, you pay for the just domains you need.
If you have domains with another provider, that's fine. You can connect external domains flexibly for a small additional fee. You can find the current prices on our website.
Flexible additional options
Do you need an additional database or more storage space? But you do not want to upgrade to the next larger package right away? With our new web hosting plans, you can flexibly add whatever you need per month.
You no longer need to differentiate between "add-on domains" and "main domains". If you want to use a domain for a hosting package, you can simply add one. You do not need to define whether or not it is a main domain or an add-on. This simplifies the domain administration for you.
Switching to new web hosting packages
Want to switch from your old Level 1, 4, 9, 19 web hosting plan to one of our new S, M, L, XL web hosting packages?
Currently, you can only get the new web hosting packages by making a new order. But we will soon provide a way for you to upgrade from old packages to the new ones via konsoleH.
