konsoleH is your central management interface for managed servers and web hosting. Here, you can manage domains, email accounts, databases, files and other hosting functions. This article gives you an overview of the layout of konsoleH and shows you where to find each function.
What konsoleH is used for
You use konsoleH when you want to adjust your hosting settings or manage content.
Typical tasks include:
- Managing domains
- Setting up email accounts
- Configuring redirects
- Managing files on your webspace
- Creating and editing databases
- Viewing statistics and logs
- Adjusting account settings
For managed products, we handle the basic server-side administration. You can therefore focus on managing your content and hosting functions in konsoleH.
Layout of the interface
After logging in, you will see your available hosting accounts/domain. A hosting account usually corresponds to a web hosting package or a managed server.
First, select the hosting you wish to edit. konsoleH will then display the functions and settings associated with that hosting.
Hosting selection
Use the hosting selection to switch between your products.
This is important if you use multiple web hosting packages or managed servers. Settings you make within a hosting package only apply to that selected hosting.
Main sections of konsoleH
konsoleH is divided into several sections. Individual menu items may vary depending on the product.
In the Email section, you manage the email functions for your domains.
There, for example, you can:
- Create email accounts
- Edit or delete mailboxes
- Set up forwarding
- Manage spam and filter rules
- Access webmail
You use this section if you want to set up email addresses for your domain or manage existing mailboxes.
Files and Webspace
In the Files or Webspace section, you manage the content of your website.
There you will find functions for:
- Files and directories
- FTP access
- File management
- Storage space
You use this section if you want to upload, delete or edit website files.
Databases
In the Databases section, you manage your account’s databases.
There you can:
- Create databases
- Delete databases
- Manage access details
- Open database management tools
You use this section for dynamic websites, CMS systems or applications that require a database.
Statistics
In the Statistics section, you will find information on the usage of your hosting. The options differ depending on whether you click on the Hosting Name or Domain.
There you can view, for example:
- Access statistics
- Web server logs
- Error logs
- Storage or traffic information
You use this section if you want to analyse access or track errors on your website.
Settings
In the Settings section, you manage general options for your account.
Depending on the product, these include, for example:
- Maintenance rules
- Login details
- Account-related configurations
- Security-related settings
You use this section if you want to change basic settings for your account.
Context-dependent functions
Many functions in konsoleH always refer to the currently selected account.
This means:
- You first select an account.
- You then open the desired section.
- You edit the relevant function or resource there.
This ensures that you make changes to the correct web hosting package or managed server.
When to use konsoleH
You use konsoleH whenever you wish to manage your managed hosting.
Examples:
- You want to set up a new domain.
- You want to create an email account.
- You want to manage your website’s files.
- You want to create a database for a CMS.
