What is a catch-all address
A catch-all address is a mailbox that receives all emails for which no specific mailbox or forwarding rule exists.
Example:
Your domain is your-domain.com and you have a mailbox webmaster@your-domain.com.
If you set this mailbox as a catch-all, the server will deliver emails sent to other addresses such as info@your-domain.com or contact@your-domain.com to this mailbox as well.
If you do not set up a catch-all, the server will return emails sent to a non-existent address to the sender with an error message.
Notes on Use
Catch-all mailboxes can receive a large number of spam messages. This can cause storage usage to increase rapidly.
You should check your emails regularly and delete or archive them.
