This article describes how to cancel all products and resources managed via the Hetzner Console.
This includes cloud servers, storage products, network resources, and other components of your project.

You can do the cancellations yourself directly on your Hetzner Console account so that you can control exactly which products or services you want to cancel, and which ones you want to keep.
Accessing Hetzner Console
- Open https://console.hetzner.com/projects
- Log into your account.
- Select the project that contains the product you want to cancel.
Resources on Hetzner Console and how to cancel them
Below, you will find all the infor you need to do cancellations via Hetzner Console, including helpful links.
Important general information
- After you delete a resource on Hetzner Console, we cannot recover or restore it.
- Many resources incur costs even if you do not actively use them (such as cloud servers, floating IPs, volumes). We will invoice you for them as long as they exist. If you want to stop paying for them, you need to actively delete them.
Canceling a cloud server
- Open the project with the server on Hetzner Console.
- Select the menu item “Server”.
- Open the server.
- Click “Delete” and confirm.
Notes
- We calculate billing an hourly basis.
- After you delete the server, you will receive a final invoice for it. Our billing is pro-rated. (You pay AFTER you use the product.)
Canceling snapshots
- Open the project that contains the snapshot.
- Select “Snapshots”.
- Delete the snapshot.
Canceling backups
- Open the server.
- Select the “Backups” tab.
- Deactivate the backup option or delete individual backups.
Canceling volumes
- Go to the project that contains volume.
- Then go to “Volumes”
- Disconnect the volume from the server.
- Delete the volume.
Note: You cannot delete a volume until after you disconnect it from the server.
Canceling networks
- Go to the correct project and then to “Networks”.
- Select the network.
- Delete it.
Canceling floating IPs
- Go to the correct project and then to “Floating IPs”
- Select the floating IP.
- Delete it.
Canceling firewalls
- Go the correct project and then to “Firewalls”
- Select the firewall.
- Delete it.
Canceling placement groups
- Go to the correct project and then to “Placement Groups”.
- Select the placement group.
- Delete it.
Canceling load balancers
- Go to the correct project and then to “Load Balancers”
- Select the load balancer.
- Delete it.
Canceling object storage
- Go to the correct project and then to “Object Storage”
- Select the bucket.
- Empty the bucket. See: How do I empty my bucket?
- Delete the bucket.
Canceling Storage Boxes
- Go to the correct project and then to “Storage Boxes”
- Select the Storage Box.
- Delete it.
Canceling SSH keys
- Go to the correct project and then to "Security" and then “SSH Keys”.
- Select the key.
- Delete it.
Canceling API tokens
- Go to the correct project and then to “Security” and then “API tokens”.
- The select the API token.
- Delete the token.
Deleting a project
- Make sure that you have deleted that all the resources in the project.
- Go to the correc project. Then click on the additional options (three dots) next to the project name.
- Select Delete.
Note: If you delete a project, you will permanently delete all associated resources on that project.
