Cancellations in the Hetzner Console

This article describes how to cancel all products and resources managed via the Hetzner Console.
This includes cloud servers, storage products, network resources, and other components of your project.

For detailed information on the individual products, please refer to the relevant technical articles in the documentation.

Accessing the Hetzner Console

  1. Open https://console.hetzner.com/projects
  2. Log in with your account
  3. Select the project in which the resource to be canceled is located

Resources in the Hetzner Console and how to cancel them

Below you will find all relevant resources that you can manage and cancel in the Hetzner Console – including internal documentation links.

General information about cancellations in the Console

  • Recovery is no longer possible.
  • Many resources incur costs even if they are not actively used (e.g., floating IPs, volumes).

Canceling a cloud server

  1. Open the project in the console
  2. Select the menu item “Server”
  3. Open the server
  4. Click “Delete” and confirm

Notes

  • Billing is calculated on an hourly basis
  • After deletion, you will receive a final invoice

Canceling snapshots

  1. Open the project
  2. Select “Snapshots”
  3. Delete the snapshot

Canceling backups

  1. Open the server
  2. Select the “Backups” tab
  3. Deactivate the backup option or delete individual backups

Canceling volumes

  1. Project → “Volumes”
  2. Select the volume
  3. Delete

Note: A volume must first be disconnected from the server.


Canceling networks

  1. Project → “Networks”
  2. Select network
  3. Delete

Canceling floating IPs

  1. Project → “Floating IPs”
  2. Select floating IP
  3. Delete

  2. Select firewall
  3. Delete

  1. Project → “Placement Groups”
  2. Select group
  3. Delete

Canceling load balancers

  1. Project → “Load Balancers”
  2. Select load balancer
  3. Delete

Canceling object storage

  1. Project → “Object Storage”
  2. Select bucket

  4. Delete bucket

Canceling Storage Boxes

  1. Project → “Storage Boxes”
  2. Select storage box
  3. Delete

Canceling SSH Keys

  1. Project
  2. Security: → “SSH Keys”
  3. Select key
  4. Delete

Canceling API tokens

  1. Project → “Security” → “API tokens”
  2. Delete token

Deleting a project

  1. Ensure that all resources in the project have been deleted
  2. Project → Click on the additional options (three dots) next to the project name
  3. Select Delete

Note: Deleting the project will permanently delete all associated resources.
