This article describes the options for transferring products between different Hetzner accounts. The procedure differs depending on the platform: Robot, Hetzner Console, or konsoleH.

Robot products

Dedicated root servers

For dedicated servers, the following article describes how to do the transfer: Server transfers between Robot customers

Domains

You can transfer domains directly on Robot by the previous contract partner.

Procedure:

  • Person A = current owner
  • Person B = future owner
  1. Person A selects the domain they want to transfer on Robot under Domains.
  2. Person A creates a transfer token by going to Create token and gives the token to Person B. The token is valid for 7 days.
  3. Person B goes to their account on Robot and starts the transfer under Domains → Show domain transfers → Start domain transfer and enters the token.
  4. Person A receives an email and confirms the transfer on Robot by going to the Transfer tab.
  5. The transfer is automatically carried out and Person B receives a notification when it is finished.

Note: An existing AV contract is not automatically transferred and must be renewed if necessary.

Rackspot

  • Person A = current owner
  • Person B = future owner

You can transfer rack space reservations in two ways:

  • Person A fills out a form
  • Both Persons A and B send support requests using their Robot accounts:
    • Person A opens a ticket with transfer request
    • Person B opens another ticket and agrees to the transfer

vSwitch

It is not possible to transfer a vSwitch. If you want to transfer a server that is connected to a vSwitch, you need to first remove the vSwitch. Then transfer the server to the new from Person A to Person B (see steps above). And then assign the server to a vSwitch on Person B's account.


Hetzner Console products

Storage Box

Procedure:

- Person A = current owner
- Person B = future owner

Both Persons A and B need to have a shared project to transfer a Storage Box.

  1. Person B creates a project and invites Person A. (See below.)
  2. Person A moves the Storage Box to this project.
  3. Person B then moves the Storage Box to a private project.

Cloud server

Procedure: - Person A = current owner - Person B = future owner

  1. Person B creates a project and invites Person A. (See below.)
  2. Person A moves the Cloud server to this project.
  3. Person B moves the server to a private project.

Object Storage

It is not possible to transfer Object Storage Buckets between projects. To move them, you need to replicate the data:

  1. Create a new bucket in the target project.
  2. Transfer the data using tools such as rclone.

Project invitations on Hetzner Console

To add a member to a project:

  1. Open the project.
  2. Select Security in the left-hand menu.
  3. Open the Members tab.
  4. Add member

konsoleH products

General procedure

There are two ways to transfer products between konsoleH accounts:

1. If the contract and contact details are identical. - Person A = current owner - Person B = future owner To do the transfer both Persons A and B write separate support requests:
  1. Person B gives Person A their product number.
  2. Person A opens a support ticket on their account and includes the product details and Person B's customer number.
  3. Person A gives person B the support ticket number for the support request that they just sent.
  4. Person B opens a support ticket on their account; they confirm the transfer and include the support ticket number from Person A.
2. If the contract details are different.

In this case, Person A needs to fill out the . Person A should then send the completed form to us via a support request on konsoleH.

Web hosting packages

For internal transfers, the current owner needs to fill out the transfer form and send it to the support team by creating a support ticket on konsoleH.

Managed servers

For managed servers, the current owner needs to fill out the transfer form and send it to the support team by creating a support ticket on konsoleH.

Managed Domains

For managed domains, the current owner needs to fill out the transfer form and send it to the support team by creating a support ticket on konsoleH.

Storage Shares

For storage shares, the current owner needs to fill out the transfer form and send it to the support team by creating a support ticket on konsoleH.
