Ordering a new managed server, a webhosting account or a domain

This section of konsoleH allows you to create a new managed server, a new storage share, a new web hosting account (= a webspace + a domain) or just a domain (without a webspace). You can also transfer an existing domain. (See the 'Transfer' option in step 3.)

  1. Select the desired account type. You can choose between these options:

    • a server (step 2. to 5. do not apply then)
    • a webhosting account with a domain
    • a domain registration only.

  2. 1 Enter your required domain name (without www) and select the domain ending (TLD).

    You have the additional option of specifying your own name server. If you choose this option, you must first register the domain on this name server.

  3. Select one of the options in the list to register a new domain or transfer an existing domain:

    • I want to register a new domain.

    Select this option if you want to register a new free domain.

    • I want to transfer my existing domain to Hetzner Online GmbH. (Transfer)

    Select this option if you want to transfer an existing domain to us.

    • I want an account; the domain will remain with the previous provider.

    Select this option if you want to re-register your domain with your previous provider. In this case, you will only receive webspace from us. Important note: You will have to make the necessary arrangements with your domain registrar so that the domain points to our webspace!

    Warning: You can only transfer an existing domain if the domain already belongs to you. You can change the domain data in the course of the transfer by agreeing to the following statement:

    "I hereby confirm that I am the domain owner or that I am acting on behalf of the domain owner. I can prove this at any time."

  4. Enter the required contact information for the domain (owner [owner-c/holder] and administrator [admin-c]).

  5. Select your preferred method of payment. If you are making yearly payments using SEPA or using bank/wire transfers, you can get a 10% discount. To get your 10% discount, click on "Recalculate".

  6. Check all the details. Then agree to our terms and conditions. To finish, just click on 'Order'!

  1. Please note that Steps 2-5 only apply when ordering web hosting accounts or registering a domain. Steps 2-5 do not apply when ordering a managed server or a storage share.↩
