Certificates
A TLS/SSL certificate is used for websites to prove the identity of the hosting server and encrypt communication between the client and the server. This helps to protect sensitive information.
When you add a new certificate to your project, the following options are available:
Uploaded certificate
Upload an existing certificate that you already created (e.g. with Let's Encrypt). You will need to renew the certificate yourself.
Managed certificate
Have Hetzner create a new Let's Encrypt certificate for you. Hetzner will automatically renew the certificate. For this option, Hetzner DNS is required.

Pricing
We do not charge for managed certificates.
