Apple and RX Server – Possible configurations and add-ons

This page lists the possible configurations for our former Apple and RX server models. The server models are no longer available on our website. This article does not include prices for these models and possible options. You can find the standard configuration of the individual server models here.

Guaranteed minimum configuration

For each server model, there is a basic or minimum configuration that we guarantee. This typically includes:

  • Data storage: at least one SSD (NVMe or SATA) or HDD
  • Network connection: 1 Gbit standard connection
  • Network & IP: 1 /64 IPv6 subnet
  • System access: Full root rights, rescue system, VNC installation, etc.

Expandable hardware options (add-ons)

Below you will find an overview of possible hardware extensions/add-ons that are generally available for RX servers (prices listed separately in the price list):

  • 1 Gbit/s NIC
  • Dual 1 Gbit NIC
  • Dual 10Gbit/25Gbit NIC
  • 10 Gbit/s NIC
  • LAN connections
  • Switches

Other add-ons

Additional information & technical specifications

General:

  • All configuration options depend on the availability of hardware components.
  • Customers can request upgrades by writing a support request using their account on Robot.
  • In the event of disk errors or software RAID configuration issues, the usual Hetzner procedures apply. See these other sections for more information:
  • You as the customer are responsible for all normal system administration tasks (software, monitoring, RAID configuration, backups, security, etc.)

Apple and RX-specific:

  • The RX server line is based entirely on Ampere Altra ARM architecture.
  • There are no planned RAM or disk upgrades.
  • It is not possible to upgrade the Mac Mini M1.
