Additional information & technical aspects
General:
- All configuration options depend on the availability of hardware components.
- Not all combinations are necessarily possible; some models have tighter limits.
- Upgrades (drives, RAM, NIC) are carried out via support/sales requests in the robot.
- In the event of data carrier errors or software RAID configurations, the usual Hetzner procedures apply (see documentation on RAID, hard disk replacement).
- The customer is responsible for monitoring and operating system configuration (monitoring, RAID configuration, backups).
AX-specific:
- In rare cases, the installation of additional network cards (e.g., 10G) may occupy slots that would otherwise be reserved for drives.
- Depending on the model, AX servers support SATA or NVMe.
- Compatible combinations depend on the motherboard, chassis, and PCIe topology
