This page lists the possible configurations for our DX (DELL) server models. Prices for all options are not included in this article. The models are sorted according to their introduction into the Hetzner product portfolio.

Guaranteed minimum configuration
For each DX model, there is a basic or minimum configuration that we guarantee. This typically includes:
- Data storage: at least one SSD (NVMe or SATA) or HDD
- RAM: typically at least 64 GB (depending on the model)
- Network connection: 1 Gbit standard connection
- Network & IP: 1x /64 IPv6 subnet
- Remote management system: iDrac
- System access: Full root rights, rescue system, VNC installation, etc.

Expandable hardware options
Below you will find an overview of possible hardware expansions/add-ons that are generally offered for DX servers (prices listed separately in the price list):
Network cards & uplinks
- Dual 1 Gbit NIC
- Dual 10 Gbit / 25 Gbit NIC
- LAN connections
- Switches
- 10 Gbit uplink (optional add-on, traffic limits above 20 TB may apply when used)
Other add-ons
- USB stick 16 GB / 64 GB
- HDMI emulator
- Additional IPv4 address or IPv4/IPv6 subnets
Additional notes & technical aspects
General:
- All configuration options depend on the availability of hardware components.
- Not all combinations are necessarily possible; some models have tighter limits.
- Upgrades (drives, RAM, NIC) are made via support/sales requests in the robot.
- In the event of data carrier errors or software RAID configurations, the usual Hetzner procedures apply (see documentation on RAID, hard disk replacement).
- The customer is responsible for monitoring and operating system configuration (monitoring, RAID configuration, backups).
DX-specific:
- If mixed configurations are desired, this must be requested in advance.
- The usable backplane or board layout determines how many NVMe, SATA, and HDD can be installed together.
