This page lists the possible configurations for our EX server models. Prices for all options are not included in this article. The models are sorted according to their introduction into the Hetzner product portfolio.

Guaranteed minimum configuration

For each EX model, there is a basic or minimum configuration that we guarantee. This typically includes:

  • Data storage: at least one SSD (NVMe or SATA) or HDD
  • Network connection: 1 Gbit standard connection
  • Network & IP: 1 /64 IPv6 subnet
  • System access: Full root rights, rescue system, VNC installation, etc.

Below you will find an overview of possible hardware expansions/add-ons that are generally offered for GPU servers (prices listed separately in the price list):

  • 10 Gbit uplink (optional add-on, traffic limits above 20 TB may apply when using)

Other add-ons

Additional notes & technical aspects

General:

  • All configuration options depend on the availability of hardware components.
  • Not all combinations are necessarily possible; some models have tighter limits.
  • Upgrades (drives, RAM, NIC) are made via support/sales requests in Robot.
  • In the event of data carrier errors or software RAID configurations, the usual Hetzner procedures apply (see documentation on RAID, hard disk replacement).
  • The customer is responsible for monitoring and operating system configuration (monitoring, RAID configuration, backups).

EX-specific:

  • The actual combinability of options depends on the chassis, motherboard, and backplane layout.
  • NVMe support is fully integrated in newer EX models.
  • The EX series includes very different CPU generations; available add-ons vary accordingly
