This page lists the possible configurations for our GEX server models. This article does not include prices for all possible options. You can find the standard configuration of the individual server models here.

→ You can find the add-on price list in a separate article: Price list for add-ons & options

Guaranteed minimum configuration

For each server model, there is a basic or minimum configuration that we guarantee. This typically includes:

  • Data storage: at least one SSD (NVMe or SATA) or HDD
  • Network connection: 1 Gbit standard connection
  • Network & IP: 1x /64 IPv6 subnet
  • System access: Full root rights, rescue system, VNC installation, etc.

  • 10 Gbit/s NIC (not for EX51 SSD GPU)
  • LAN connections
  • Switches
  • 10 Gbit uplink – optional add-on (traffic limits above 20 TB apply when using) (not for EX51 SSD GPU)

Other add-ons

Additional notes & technical aspects

General:

  • All configuration options depend on the availability of hardware components.
  • Not all combinations are necessarily possible; some models have tighter limits.
  • Customers can request upgrades (drives, RAM, NIC) by writing a support request using their account on Robot.
  • In the event of disk errors or software RAID configuration issues, the usual Hetzner procedures apply. See these other sections for more information:
  • You as the customer are responsible for all normal system administration tasks (software, monitoring, RAID configuration, backups, security, etc.)

GPU server line:

  • You cannot install additional graphics cards in the servers..
  • The GEX130 supports standard 1G or 10G NIC upgrades.
  • The GEX131 can only be configured with RAM and the corresponding data carrier extension.
  • The EX51 SSD GPU supports a maximum of 1G additional NIC.
  • Other hardware combinations may be restricted by chassis or motherboard limitations.
