This page lists the possible configurations for our PX server models. These models are no longer available for order, but are still documented. Prices for all options are not included in this article. The models are sorted according to their introduction into the Hetzner product portfolio.

→ You can find the price list in a separate article: Price list for add-ons & options

Guaranteed minimum configuration

For each server model, there is a basic or minimum configuration that we guarantee. This typically includes:

  • Data storage: at least one SSD (NVMe or SATA) or HDD
  • Network connection: 1 Gbit standard connection
  • Network & IP: 1 /64 IPv6 subnet
  • System access: Full root rights, rescue system, VNC installation, etc.

Expandable hardware options

Below you will find an overview of possible hardware expansions/add-ons that are generally offered for PX servers (prices listed separately in the price list):

  • 1 Gbit NIC
  • Dual 1 Gbit NIC
  • Dual 10 Gbit / 25 Gbit NIC
  • 10 Gbit/s NIC
  • LAN connections
  • Switches
  • 10 Gbit uplink – optional add-on (traffic limits above 20 TB may apply when using this option)

Other add-ons

Additional information & technical aspects

General:

  • All configuration options depend on the availability of hardware components
  • Not all combinations are necessarily possible; some models have tighter limits.
  • Upgrades (drives, RAM, NIC) are made via support/sales requests in Robot.
  • In the event of data carrier errors or software RAID configurations, the usual Hetzner procedures apply (see documentation on RAID, hard drive replacement).
  • The customer is responsible for monitoring and operating system configuration (monitoring, RAID configuration, backups).

PX server line:

  • PX servers offer various SATA, SSD, and NVMe options depending on the generation.
  • Not all models support NVMe SSDs or large SATA HDD capacities.
  • Actual expandability is determined by the backplane, PCIe slots, and power supply capacity
