Additional information & technical aspects

General:

  • All configuration options depend on the availability of hardware components
  • Not all combinations are necessarily possible; some models have tighter limits.
  • Upgrades (RAM, NIC) are carried out via support/sales requests in the robot.
  • In the event of disk errors or software RAID configurations, the usual Hetzner procedures apply (see documentation on RAID, hard disk replacement).
  • The customer is responsible for monitoring and operating system configuration (monitoring, RAID configuration, backups).

SX-specific:

  • SX servers support extensive configurations of SATA HDDs, SATA SSDs, and NVMe data center SSDs.
  • The actual drive configuration depends on the respective chassis (4-bay, 10-bay, 14-bay, 15-bay).
  • RAM upgrades are only possible on some SX models; many systems were shipped with maximum RAM
